The Roley Pool Walk Trail (not to be confused with the Rock Pool Hike) is a lovely and easy walk in Roleystone, about 35km out of Perth.
The Hike:
According to a sign, the Roley Pool Walk Trail can be completed in 10 minutes- I'm sure it can be, but not when you stop to explore! Along the trail are plenty of wildflowers to admire. The path leads to flat rocks by a stream, some sections with small cascades. It takes longer than ten minutes when you are sitting by the stream relaxing. There are also larger rock features, and some small caves. But, while these are interesting, be careful because they look like places snakes would love! Most of the trail is flat gravel or dirt, but there are some stairs leading to different points along the way. Nature's Spa is also at the Roley Pool Walk Trail- a naturally cut seat in the water. Water gushes past, the seat fairly sheltered but bubbly. We didn't have a chance to sit in here as we came in Winter, but it's definitely on the list of things to try in Summer!
NOTES: On the other side of the stream is private property. Most of the area can be explored by people, but there are signs further along the trail to tell you where you can't go (mostly just 'do not cross the river here').
Be careful walking around on some rocks, as they are quite slippery. My brother slipped and cut his hand- not badly, but enough to make us a bit more cautious walking around.
Facilities:
Lookout, picnic tables, benches, Natural Spa, signs, car park.

A lovely place to visit, but not the full five. The ground is a bit muddy and boggy or slippery at places which makes it a bit hard to explore those areas. Also, while there are many plants, it isn't spectacular as far as being aesthetically pleasing goes. However, there are nice places to relax, lovely streams and the walk is easy and leisurely.
